PLC Programming Services for Machines and Process Lines
The PLC program decides how a machine behaves in every situation — normal running, start-up, faults and emergency stops. Clear, well-structured logic makes a machine predictable and easy to maintain; tangled logic makes every fault a long investigation.

Overview
Sparsh Automation develops custom PLC programs for your workflows, and modifies or troubleshoots existing programs when your process changes or a problem needs solving.
In our brochure“Custom PLC, HMI, and software solutions to automate your unique workflows.”

Capabilities
What our service covers
New program development
Structured logic for sequences, interlocks, PID loops, alarms and recipes, developed to an agreed functional description.
Program modification
Adding features, I/O or equipment to an existing program with controlled changes and backups.
Troubleshooting
Online diagnosis of logic-related faults and unexpected machine behaviour.
Communication setup
Data exchange between PLCs, VFDs, remote I/O, meters and HMI/SCADA.
Documentation
Commented code, tag lists and backups handed over with the project.
Typical deliverables
- Functional description agreed before coding
- PLC program with comments and structured organisation
- I/O and tag list
- Test records from simulation and/or site testing
- Final program backup handed over to you
Final scope and deliverables are agreed in the quotation for each requirement.
Typical applications
- Machine sequences for OEMs
- Process control with pumps, valves and level/temperature loops
- Conveying, packing and material handling
- Utility automation
Technical considerations
General engineering guidance to help you plan and specify.
- Software & licences
- Programming software and licences vary by platform. Confirm platform and firmware early.
- Program ownership
- Ensure you receive the final, unlocked program and backups as part of the deliverables.
- Change control
- Modifying running systems should follow a backup-change-test sequence, ideally during planned downtime.
- Safety functions
- Emergency stop and safety functions must be designed to the applicable safety requirements — not handled only in standard PLC logic.
Process
How the engagement works
- 01
Understand the process
Sequences, interlocks, modes and alarms discussed with your team.
- 02
Functional description
A written description of how the system should behave, agreed before coding.
- 03
Develop & simulate
Logic developed and tested offline where possible.
- 04
Site testing
I/O checks, sequence testing and fine-tuning on site.
- 05
Handover
Program backup, documentation and walkthrough with maintenance staff.
FAQ
PLC Programming: common questions
Which PLC platforms do you program?
Our brochure lists Siemens, ABB, Schneider Electric, Rockwell Automation and Mitsubishi Electric in our ecosystem. Tell us your PLC model and software version and we will confirm.
Can you modify a program written by someone else?
Yes, provided the program can be accessed. We take a backup first, review the existing logic and make controlled changes.
What if the program is password-protected or not available?
Access to the existing program is needed to modify it. If it is unavailable, options include obtaining it from the original supplier or rewriting the logic based on a study of the machine.
Do you provide remote PLC support?
Remote support may be possible where secure remote access is available on site. We discuss this case by case.
Enquire about PLC Programming
Tell us about your requirement. Drawings, photos and part numbers can be shared by email after you submit.
Discuss your automation requirement with an engineer
Share your process, drawings or part numbers. We'll review the requirement and get back to you with the next steps and a quotation.
